Wildlife

There is an abundance of wildlife in Belize. Be sure to keep an eye out while hiking in the rain forest, taking a river cruise up the Monkey River or heading to the Mayan Ruins at Lamanai Archeological Site. The Belize Zoo has a large collection of indigenous wildlife that has either been rescued or nursed back to health following injury.
